Several months ago, I saw a link on Face book to a video where this little boy was standing in front of a board and he went through 20 things that we should say more often. It was absolutely adorable. As I thought about what he had actually said, I began to realize the wisdom in what he was saying. He was absolutely right. Each and every one of those things he mentioned are things we really should say more often.
I wanted to share these 20 things with you and show you the video. I realized however, that if I list all 20 things and give you the link to the video, you will read through them quickly and some of you might actually take time to watch the short video. Most of you would think it was great, just like I did, but then a day or two later, you will have forgotten all about it. I really want us to take the time to really think about each and every one of the things we should say more often. If we see the whole list at once we might remember one or two of the things from that list, but would forget the others. If we look at them one at a time and then really try to think about that one thing over the course of the week, we will be a lot more likely to remember more of them and actually start using them more in our lives in the things we say to others.
For that reason, I am going to turn this list into a long blog series and we will look at one of these things we should say more often in each blog. The blogs will be short, but I invite you to read each week and try to find ways you can say that thing at least once over the course of that week. If you are really an overachiever, you will find a way to say it three times over the course of that week.
I am also going to wait until the last blog in the series to give you the link to the video. Once we have gone through each thing on the list and tried to say them more, your reward will be to see the boy saying those things. He takes them to a new level and it will really brighten your day.
Now I hope you are on board with this little experiment we will be doing. Take the rest of this week to buy into what we are doing and really commit to trying to say all 20 things more in your life. I think you will be amazed at how your attitude can be transformed through this little experiment.
Check out the second part of this blog series next week and we will get started.
