Some people hear the words “chocolate” or “peanut butter” and they immediately think that it is bad for you. That is not always true. It is all about portion control.
If you work out hard, early in the mornings, you need fuel to fuel your body. These would be great for that. Lot’s of fuel and not as many calories as you think. The honey provides a natural sweetness that is much better for you than processed sugar that you usually see in foods like this. The rolled oats give it a good solid texture.
I have not actually made these yet, but the combination of flavors sounds wonderful. I love chocolate, peanut butter, and coconut so I don’t think I can go wrong. I am going to try these in the coming weeks and i would like to encourage you to do the same. Let’s fuel up! Enjoy!
1 tablespoon Cocoa Powder
2 tablespoon Peanut Butter
1 oz Dried Coconut (Shredded, Sweetened)
1/4 serving (serving = 1 scoop) Body Fortress 100% Premium Chocolate Whey Protein
1/3 serving (serving = 1/2 cup) Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Whole Grain Rolled Oats
2 serving (serving = 1 tbsp) Archer Farms Organic Honey
Mix the ingredients together with a spatula until the mix becomes like a Patti. Break the Patti into 8 equal portions and roll into balls. Then roll the balls in a little extra Coconut and chill until ready to eat.
